What does an interim manager cost?
Before hiring an interim manager, companies ask themselves what the costs will be. Above all, the question of whether the permanent occupation / permanent employment of the position is more worthwhile compared to a temporary interim employment, often depends on the costs.
The daily rates vary widely and depend on various factors. First of all, it depends on the function and the task at hand. Furthermore, the duration of use, the industry and the location play important parameters when determining the daily rate.
A 1% flat rate applies as a non-binding guide. This means that an interim manager earns around 1% of the gross annual salary of a comparable position in a permanent position per day.
Example: Head of Marketing (e.g. € 100,000 gross in permanent employment) = daily rate interim manager approx. € 1,000 (the above factors can reduce or increase the daily rate)
Interesting: The Return on Interim Management (RoIM) (the ratio of income to expenses of an interim management assignment) is currently 11.9 on average.
